Gretchen Crary has been working in publishing for 19 years. She has been a publicist, marketer, and publisher. In 2013 she created February Media where she focuses on book publicity for an exclusive list of name brand authors, debut authors, and journalists. Before creating February Media, Gretchen was Publicity Director at HarperCollins. There she was involved in building many bestsellers including Cyber War by Richard Clarke, The Sellout by Charles Gasparino, Conquest of the Useless by Werner Herzog, and Alex and Me by Dr. Irene Pepperberg. Before coming to publishing, Gretchen Crary was a television producer for the documentary program Frontline, for 60 Minutes, and for ABC News. She has an Emmy and a DuPont Gold Baton for her work with Frontline. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University and also holds a Masters degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She and her family live in Brooklyn.
Sabrina Dax works with best-selling authors, academics, journalists and business leaders to generate awareness for their projects. Sabrina is passionate about helping people build their brands and getting the media exposure they deserve. She has a Masters in European Literature from Oxford University and a Bachelors in English and European Studies from Brandeis University. She was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University. She loves books, travel and meeting new people.
Jessica Fitzpatrick started her career as a publicity and marketing assistant for February Media, before moving on to work for Viking/Penguin Books at Penguin Random House. There she helped execute creative publicity campaigns for bestsellers such as John le Carré’s A Legacy of Spies, Craig Johnson’s The Western Star, Georgia Hunter’s We Were the Lucky Ones, Deborah Harkness’s The World of All Souls, Dava Sobel’s The Glass Universe, Adam Grant’s Originals, and Gail Honeyman’s Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. After spending two years in southwest France teaching English, Jessica has rejoined the publicity team at February Media as Director of Publicity. She graduated from Washington College with a degree in English Literature and French studies. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, painting, discovering new artists, and dreaming of France.
